FKMS Honored at the 19th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser of the Workplace Project

FKMS was recognized for its ongoing community work at the Workplace Project’s 19th Anniversary Gala. The Workplace Project, based in Hempstead, supports immigrant workers through education, leadership training and community organizing.

FKMS partnered with the Workplace Project to organize a backpack drive, collecting school supplies for local disadvantaged students. The firm also coordinated with the Workplace Project to provide free flu vaccines to over 200 day laborers as risk of illness. FKMS has further demonstrated its commitment to Long Island’s immigrant worker population with frequent distributions of water bottles to prevent dehydration.

FKMS Hosts Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebrations for Brentwood Residents

Ferro, Kuba, Mangano, Sklyar, P.C. has hosted an Annual Community Cinco de Mayo Celebration every May 5th since opening its Brentwood Law Center in 2010. The celebrations include free food, live music, prizes, face painting and entertainment for kids, as well as a live broadcast from the “Almorzando Con Cantaso” radio program, which airs daily on La Fiesta Radio, 98.5 FM. These events provide opportunities for our firm to bring the local community together.

FKMS Team Raises $2,000 in the Great Prostate Challenge Fundraiser

Ferro, Kuba, Mangano, Sklyar, P.C. partner Lance Kuba led an FKMS team at the Great Prostate Cancer Challenge, a 5K Run/Walk, on Sunday, November 14, 2010, in Oyster Bay, New York.  The event was organized by Zero, the Project to End Prostate Cancer, with support from the Integrated Medical Foundation (IMF) in order to raise funds for prostate cancer awareness, education, and support. Lance and FKMS staff members Elizabeth Braun and Joyce Cerillo competed in the race, and along with fellow employees, family, and friends, raised nearly $2,000.00 for the cause.
